NCAPA Responds to Attacks on Communities of Color
|

The National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA) denounces the rampant use of all anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim rhetoric. Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, immigrants and all communities of color and religious backgrounds are integral parts of American society, yet continue to be marginalized based on immigrant status, ethnic background, race and religion.
"America is strong because it is a multicultural society,” said NCAPA National Director Christopher Kang. “From religion and national origin to race and ethnicity, we are one nation, indivisible, and lawmakers and public officials should advance a dialogue that celebrates our diversity instead of insulting it.”
### The National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA), founded in 1996, is a coalition of 35 national Asian Pacific American organizations. Based in Washington D.C., NCAPA serves to represent the interests of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AA & NHPI) communities and to provide a national voice on policy issues and priorities. |
