This year the Beacon of Democracy Award will be presented to AARP. The evening will also be an opportunity to celebrate the achievements we have made in AAPI voter engagement and to look ahead to increasing AAPI civic participation for the 2016 Presidential cycle. 

In order to achieve this goal, APIAVote is seeking resources for our Norman Y. Mineta Leadership Institute community trainings and our Field, Research, and Communication Programs. These initiatives are crucial to expanding our knowledge of the AAPI electorate in order to amplify our voice in political campaigns and have our stories included in the media coverage. 

Ultimately, through these regional receptions, individual and corporate donations and foundation grants, our goal is to secure $1 million for APIAVote field work in the upcoming general and primary elections.
