30+ organizations join statement against anti-refugee political rhetoric: Last week, NCAPA joined JACL, AAJC, Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation and the Japanese American National Museum to condemn political demagoguery against Syrian and Iraqi refugees. Read the full statement.

Kathy Ko Chin on DACA+ and DAPA: In the Huffington Post, APIAHF President & CEO Kathy Ko Chin writes about how millions of lives are being held in limbo due to the recent ruling blocking President Obama’s immigration executive actions. She writes that immigration status has a large effect on access to quality and affordable health care.

APIASF’s #NotTheSame Campaign featured in NBC Asian America: Read and share the feature on APIASF’s campaign to empower AAPIs to tell their stories about the unique experiences of our communities. The campaign officially launches tomorrow, Dec. 1.

APALA executive board adopts resolution to stop U.S. military base expansion in Henoko: APALA’s national executive board met with the All Okinawa Council, a group that organizes to stop construction of the military base in Henoko, and showed solidarity with the people of Okinawa.

More Asian American child actors on TV than ever before: NCAPA member the Center for Asian American Media compiled a roundup on their blog of Asian American child actors of the past and present to highlight an unprecedented number of diverse actors this fall 2015 TV season.

NAKASEC - Adoptee Defense Fund: Sign a petition to support Korean adoptee Adam Crasper who now faces deportation.

SEARAC - Demand AAPI Student Data in No Child Left Behind Rewrite: Call/email your member of Congress to urge them to collect disaggregated data on AAPI students.

NQAPIA - Demand an End to Profiling:NQAPIA’s campaign against profiling in immigration enforcement is looking for organization sign ons.

NCAPIP - Screen at 23 focuses on the importance of screening for diabetes in the Asian American community, as our communities are at risk for type 2 diabetes at the body mass index of 23.
