NCAPA Applauds Federal Circuit Court Ruling Against Proposed Muslim Ban

NCAPA, along with members Advancing Justice | AAJC, Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance, National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, NQAPIA, OCA and South Asian Americans Leading Together, celebrated the decision from the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals to continue to block President Trump's "Muslim Ban 2.0" executive order. While this was a victory, the president has called for an expedited Supreme Court hearing on the Muslim Ban, and we continue to reject the xenophobia by this administration.

NCAPA Joins Leadership Conference in Calling for Highly Qualified Census Bureau Director

NCAPA and ten member organizations joined a letter to President Trump led by the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights to call for a Census Bureau director who is highly qualified and to also ensure a fair and accurate Census.

SALDEF Honors Victims of Gun Violence

Last Saturday, the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund (SALDEF) held a community event at the Sikh Gurdwara in D.C. to honor victims of gun violence on National Gun Violence Awareness Day. National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum Denounces Leaked Birth Control Rule

NAPAWF responded to a leaked draft from the Trump administration that would allow employers to bypass the Affordable Care Act’s contraceptive mandate.

New app in 5 languages aims to help immigrants who are detained. The National Korean American Service & Education Consortium (NAKASEC) is one of the groups who worked on this multilingual mobile Know Your Rights app. (Leslie Berestein Rojas, KPCC)
