NCAPA Welcomes the Bipartisan DREAM Act of 2017

The National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA) welcomes yesterday’s introduction of the DREAM Act of 2017 by Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC). This bipartisan bill gives legal status and a pathway to citizenship to undocumented immigrants who came to this country as children and is just one step in fixing our broken immigration system.

NCAPA also urges President Trump to unequivocally protect the Deferred Access for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, preventing deportation and protecting the jobs of nearly 800,000 DREAMers.
